I don’t know how long I waited for that, but I eventually got the right FCP X Curves and I couldn’t be happy with this. It can be moved up or down to finesse some very specific part of the picture wherever you want. All too vivid are the highlights? Any challenge. Shadows a too blue eye, but beautifully highlights? Only push the blue channel shadows. It is safer than applying Photoshop because the composite RGB channel or any part channel can ever be interpreted and modified. (Interestingly, you may see some measures if you use Curves with noticeable scopes, but it disappears after rendering and thus is not an issue.)
